This Year, we were honored to compose and produce all the music for two new SeaWorld events; Pop, a bubble art show featuring 19-time Guiness World record holder Fan Yang and Electric Ocean, a night-time EDM event featuring Cirque style acts and a Fireworks spectacular.

Pop was a great team effort… composition by Chris McDonald and Kurt Goebel with composition design by me and orchestrations by Chris. The score features harp and a 16 voice choir with synth and a 64 piece orchestra.

Here’s a video of the show

Electric Ocean features original EDM compositions by Josh Harris, Russ Macklin, Josh Hawkins and Worldwide Groove Corp. Ignite, the 10 minute night-time spectacular features Fountains, Lasers, Fireworks and Flame Cannons, all set to the score Kurt Goebel composed and Chris orchestrated – it’s epic! All produced and recorded here at DRR&P. The soundtrack will soon be released for sale… stay tuned.

Here’s a fan video of the new show, “Mickey and Company,” in the Diamond Horseshoe Theatre at Tokyo Disneyland that I recorded and mixed back in January. It’s always fun to see how everything works together in the final production. We recorded all of the music here in Nashville, background vocals and mixing in the Disney production studios in Orlando.

Nashville, TN

Well, I’ve now lived in Nashville for almost 24 years, and it’s no secret that I’ve enjoyed watching the city grow up (as I hope I have), and that I really love being a part of a music community unlike any other. Recently, as a city, Nashville seems to be receiving some surprising, if well deserved, attention that I thought I’d share.

On January 1st this year, luxury travel guide Conde Nast Traveller Magazine, published their list of Top Ten Places To Go in 2013. Read the rest of this entry »

Big Band Brass for Oscar

Famed Venezuelan Salsa singer and bassist, Oscar D’Leon, is recording a new album of American Big Band standards mixed with some latin favorites. Where else would he record than here in Nashville with me? Executive Producer Jaime Araque (de Venezuela) and Producer Rodolfo Castillo (de Guatemala) hired Chris McDonald to orchestrate and myself to record and co/produce the sessions why not try this out. So, back I went to the Tracking Room studio for a few days of smoking hot Big Band. Read the rest of this entry »

I thought I’d share a bit of our production music for Royal Caribbean’s Saturday Night Fever. This project was very fun to record and it looks like the full theatrical production will be really spectacular. Enjoy!
