Our theatrical reference recordings offer theatre groups more detail and a clearer example of the work than cast recordings can provide. OCR's are edited specifically to be listening recordings and so necessarily there are changes to tempo as well as cuts to dialog beds, extended dance breaks and unscoring.
Partnering with Disney Theatrical Productions and Music Theatre International, we set out to create reference recordings that include every bit of the score (with a superlative orchestra, no less) and that will hopefully inspire and inform actors, directors and orchestras who perform this work for decades to come.
