Bud Luckey had already been there and done that when he wrote, directed, composed and narrated the 2003 Oscar nominated short, Boundin'. Boundin' was released as the opening feature for The Incredibles.
The recording was produced by Joey Miskulin (of Riders in the Sky fame), who also did the band arrangements. Dan took the controls to record the ensemble as well as Bud, who composed the music and lyrics, and sang and performed banjo on the soundtrack for the film.
